Sgraffito Challenge Day 26

Down to the last week of this challenge. For today we are drawing trees, upside down of course and the left side needs to be done with the left hand and the right with the right. Right.
I probably had a little too much fun with today's challenge.... What does that say about my brain!!!
These did start out as a pine tree but morphed into Aspens

Sgraffito Challenge Day 24

Today's challenge was to draw a tree again. Would seem like we are back to where we started..... Not much of a challenge one would think until you find out that you can only use a business card (yeah, okay) and you have to draw with your NON-DOMINATE hand!!!!! Ack, there is a challenge there after all! So here are my Left Handed Drawn Trees.

Sgraffito Challenge Day 23

Something I collect.... These little mice! I had about 5 minutes to do this so it's not grand.

Sgraffito Challenge Day 22

Shiny and sharp, a study of light values and contrasts. Poke me with this pin... This was hard.

Sgraffito Challenge Day 19

Okay..... I am a little behind with all this but it is my intention to get caught up. Today's challenge is to create a flower. I choose a Hibiscus. I grew up in Puerto Rico and other parts of the tropics and beautiful flowers were everywhere! As a kid I never really appreciated all of the beauty that surrounded me. Now I live in Saskatchewan Canada, land of snow and ice. What I wouldn't do to see a hibiscus today!!

Sgraffito Challenge Day 9

Today was the Day of Fruit. I, once again, didn't have a lot of time so here's the best I could do.

Sgraffito Challenge Day 8

So for today we were allowed to add some more handmade or "found" tools. I used a bit of that no-slip shelf liner in order to get some texture for the trees. This drawing is based on a photograph that I took of one of the most beautiful places to me, Telluride, Colorado. The main peak is Ajax and the foreground is the Beaver Pond. I could certainly wake up each morning to that view! I'd like to spend more time on this so if it survives on my work table overnight I might touch it up some more tomorrow. If it doesn't then back in the jar!
